Over the past two years Sydney Songstress Tracy Redhead was been busy crafting and refining the sounds on her newly released debut album. The solo project has seen her work with acclaimed drummer and producer, Tim Powles from The Church - taking on indie pop/rock with a quirky and sometimes dark outer layer. Tim is also known for his work with Iota and Laura Imbruglia.

The debut album "Walking Home A Different Way" is out now on new Sydney label Perfect Sun - the most recent venture for Richard Roberts founder and owner of UK taste-maker label Too Pure.

The first single "Where it Fits" is currently play listed on Triple J, FBI, 3RRR and RTR with the film clip being played on Rage. The single has received awesome exposure via the Triple J website having recently been offered as a 'new artist' mp3 seeing 6000+ downloads!

Tracy also recently recorded as part of the Green Mist (also out thru Inertia!) with Julien Poulsen, Brian Richie (Violent Femmes), Jeff Hamilton (Violent Femmes), Charlie Owen (Beasts of Bourbon, Divinyls), Spencer Jones (Beasts of Bourbon). The group were a Rolling Stone 'Hot Pick' in January 2008.

Tracy and her band head have recently completed The Sister Rock national tour with Even and The Spazzys, with only a brief pause to renew the batteries, Redhead is ready to take to the east coast highways once again.

"When you can hit notes like that who needs gimmicks to impress" THE BRAG

"What comes out is beautifully rich pop music that builds on Ms Redhead's voice, that skips and dances melodically to begin with before reaching inside itself and surging over you with an almost surprising power." DRUM MEDIA
